It’s Time to Fly to Geneva and London
Swiss Watches, Big Ben Make United Airlines’ New Service to Geneva and London Timely
CHICAGO, 18 November 2008 - Now is the time to make travel plans to Europe as United today announces new daily, non-stop passenger and cargo service between Washington, D.C. and Geneva on its newly reconfigured aircraft that has flat-bed seats in first and business class. The flight will connect the U.S. capital to the world's banking hub and to the headquarters of numerous international agencies.
United is also reinstating daily service between Denver and London from March 29 through October 23 (eastbound) and 24 (westbound), providing customers in the Mountain region with non-stop passenger and cargo service during the peak travel season.
"Our service to Geneva and London provides our customers with convenient access to two international business, financial and diplomatic centers that are also popular tourist destinations," says Kevin Knight, senior vice president - Planning. "We will continue to adjust our capacity to market conditions and seek new opportunities to serve markets that respond to our customers' needs and deliver the results necessary to return us to profitability."

Tickets for this non-stop flight between Washington Dulles and Geneva are available today and to celebrate, United is offering an introductory sale to Geneva with fares priced at $449 for travel Monday through Thursday and $469 for travel Friday through Sunday. The Boeing 767 aircraft that will fly between Washington Dulles and Geneva has recently undergone United's multi-million-dollar product enhancement that brings to United First and United Business true flat-bed seats, on-demand entertainment and other spruced-up amenities that create the optimal space to work, sleep or relax. It has 6 United First® seats, 26 United Business® seats and 151 United Economy® class seats, including 71 Economy Plus®seats.

The Boeing 777 aircraft is configured with 10 United First Suite® seats, 45 United Business® seats and 198 United Economy® class seats, including 84 Economy Plus® seats.
The new route is expected to fly approximately 15 tons of cargo per flight between Washington Dulles and Geneva, and 18 tons of cargo per flight between Denver and London.

FARE FACTS: Fares above are each way based on required roundtrip purchase for United Economy® travel on United Airlines® for travel from Washington (IAD) to Geneva (GVA). Tickets purchased through United reservation offices are $25 per ticket higher, and tickets purchased at airport ticket counters are $30 per ticket higher. Fares purchased through other distribution channels may also be higher. When purchasing from United, always go to united.com to find United's lowest fares. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights/dates. Purchase Requirements: Tickets must be purchased at least 7 days in advance and ticketed within 24 hours of making reservations, but no later than 12/03/08. Sale fares apply to U.S. point-of-sale only. Reservations and ticket purchases on united.com must be completed simultaneously. Travel Days/Dates: Fares shown above are valid for travel on Monday through Thursday for Midweek fares, and Friday through Sunday for Weekend rates. Travel must commence between 4/19/09 and 5/14/09, with all travel complete by 6/14/09. Blackout Dates: There are no blackout dates. International Min./Max. Stay: A Saturday night minimum stay is required. The maximum stay is 30 days.
